The Future is Fiber
This week, technologists specializing in fiber gathered in Detroit from across the country. Rocket Fiber was thrilled to present the Fiber Broadband Association’s Regional Conference at the Greektown Casino-Hotel. The conference focused on how to create great digital infrastructure, communities and companies came together, learning how to deploy fiber broadband, and use that as a vehicle to spur economic growth.

The conference brought in speakers from across the United States, who explored best practices for technology deployments and highlighted the strategy in building gigabit networks that facilitate the future of Smart City technology and Mobility.
Key speakers included Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, who discussed the State’s investment and focus on creating a healthy ecosystem for the future of connectivity as well as Kurk Steudle, Director of the Michigan Department of Transportation, who highlighted the incredible pace of change in automated and autonomous vehicles—all of which are supported by fiber.
